AC Milan continue to place their trust in their coach Stefano Pioli despite the latest result against Lecce away from home.
According to sources at Calciomercato.com, behind the choice to confirm Pioli on the bench is that he is under contract until June 2025. There is also the weight of the absence of alternative solutions deemed suitable for the current season, with the goal of qualifying for the Champions League round of 16 again within reach after last Wednesday's victory against Paris Saint-Germain.
There will be an important talk, however, with the coach, especially regarding the very long list of injuries (many of which are muscular in nature).
Pioli himself has publicly admitted the existence of a problem (with the recent setbacks of Rafael Leao and Davide Calabria, the overall count has risen to 16) in the press conference from the 'Via del Mare' stadium and even the club's top executives have not recently hidden their concern about a situation that is negatively affecting the team's recent performances.
The two weeks in the confines of Milanello will be used to conduct a thorough general analysis of what has not worked in the last 30 days and to find a turning point to reverse the course.
