AC Milan will face Borussia Dortmund tonight in a very crucial Champions League fixture. There will be the usual starting lineup in midfield with Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Rade Krunic and Tijjani Reijnders, or so we thought until the latest twist and suprise.
According to the updates, it seems that Yacine Adli is close to getting the nod finally to start against the Bundesliga club instead of the Bosnian midfielder.
One of Dortmund's strengths is undoubtedly their counterattacks, so the French player will need to work with his teammates to avoid leaving gaps in midfield.
AC Milan's Yacine Adli gets a chance to shine after a few weeks spent on the bench
After a few weeks on the bench, Pioli has decided to give Adli another chance, and he will do so in the most crucial game of the season so far: Milan needs to win to take a significant step towards qualifying for the Champions League round of 16 (with two victories in the last two games, the Rossoneri would secure passage to the next round).
Adli hasn't played since November 4 when he came on at the start of the second half, replacing Krunic against Udinese, while his last start was over a month ago against Juventus (October 22), as per La Gazzetta dello Sport.
