Last night, AC Milan lost 3-1 against Borussia Dortmund. The Rossoneri team, already plagued with many injuries before the start of the Champions League clash, faced another setback when Malick Thiaw left the pitch at the 53rd minute.
Having no real choices on the bench, Stefano Pioli opted to use the Bosnian midfielder's services, Rade Krunic, as a centre-back to replace the former Schlake 04 player.
The player suffered a muscular injury. Thiaw underwent an MRI scan this morning which revealed a sever lesion of the left hamstring's biceps femoris.
More evaluations will take place in about a week. As for the recovery time, he could be out of Pioli's plans for around 2 months, as per Calciomercato.com.
