Rafael Leao at the Gran Galà del Calcio 2023, was interviewed by Peppe Di Stefano for Sky Sport Italia:
How are you?
"I feel good, it's not a serious injury but we shouldn't take risks. I'm working with the doctors to avoid any risks because the championship is long. We need to work step by step. But I feel good, without pain. I'm still trying to take some time to come back 100% to help my team. They are doing well anyway, but I hope to return soon."
You are increasingly involved in the world of Milan:
"I always try to get the team in the right, positive mood. It's important to release the pressure because there's too much pressure now. But as I always say, pressure is good because my team is strong, we have important fans who support us from start to finish. I always try to create a good mood in the team, to help those who have just arrived. I also try to help from outside, it's beautiful to see my team when they are doing well, when we win at home: Milan must win."
Do you still believe in the Scudetto? Leao answered:
"Yes, of course, the championship is long. My team is doing well. There have been games where we should have done better and should have won, but now we are starting to win at home again. We're releasing the pressure, and I trust my team because we've brought in players with great quality: even Christian (Pulisic) scored a great goal in the last game. If I'm out, I'm sure my teammates will give 100% for the team, they've done very well and I'm happy."
