Stefano Pioli, the AC Milan head coach, spoke to 'Prime Video' after the victory against Newcastle at 'St James' Park'.
Here are his statements:
What is the biggest regret?
"The first game, where we had to win. Not being able to do so is a regret. The Europa League is an important competition, and Milan has never won it. It's a bittersweet evening; the boys played a fantastic game in terms of attention, albeit making some mistakes. There's satisfaction for the win, but there's regret. Now we have to do everything possible to go as far as we can in Europe."
What will you take away from this? Pioli answered:
"Now we have to try to perform well in the league, consolidating the third position. The minimum seasonal goal is to reach the top four; in Serie A, we haven't found the necessary consistency yet. There's still a lot left in the season; we can't say what we'll take away at the end of it."
Is this experience important for the growth of the team?
"We did worse than last year in the Champions League, but we can also do better in the league. I'm convinced of this team's potential beyond what is said externally. I only regret not having brought out these potentials to the maximum."
