According to the latest news shared by the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's print edition, the Rossoneri continue to show faith in their young talents. After Francesco Camarda and Jan-Carlo Simic, who scored yesterday against Monza, other young prospects could make an appearances as well for the first time.
The next player to make a debut soon could be Alex Jimenez, the Spanish right-back who is on loan from Real Madrid. He could have entered yesterday. Then Pioli preferred to let Samuel Chukwueze play to replace Noah Okafor who had to leave due to an injury.
Then, 19-year-old French centre-back, Clinton Nsiala was on the bench yesterday too, as well as at Newcastle. Since the start of the season, Italian goalkeeper Lapo Nava who is 19 years old too, has been consistently in the first team, and there is indeed work on finalising his professional contract. Chaka Traore and Kevin Zeroli have also been included in the first team.
Expanding the scope, a trend is noted. AC Milan is working well with youngsters and as a company policy happily substitutes them. The idea is to give trust to the eighteen-year-olds and even younger players. Among the younger ones, apart from Camarda, Matia Liberali (2007) and Christian Comotto (2008) are developing well.
AC Milan creating a reserve team?
The choice for Milan in the coming months will depend on finances: to create a reserve team or not? The club is considering; the cost is not low (reaching 7-10 million euros per season), but there are many favourable opinions. It's more than possible that eventually, it will happen.
