A curious backstage story about the Super League emerges from Spain. According to the newspaper Sport, Real Madrid and Barcelona will indeed see their loyalty to the project that came to light in April 2021 rewarded with a prize that could reach up to one billion euros, provided that the aforementioned competition actually manages to launch.
As for the clubs that decided to abandon the project, namely Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus, and the other six Premier League clubs, they could face a fine of up to 300 million euros for non-participation.
This, however, does not apply to Inter, which hadn't fully completed the process to be part of the Super League project and would already be shielded from any possible repercussions today, as relayed via Milan News.
