AC Milan are seeking consistency, but they are also hoping that they can fix the issues, especially in defence, thanks to the approaching transfer market window.
Speaking to Milan News, Luca Bianchin, who is a journalist at La Gazzetta dello Sport, discussed the Rossoneri's plans and said these words:
What are the goals the Rossoneri club aims for in the January transfer market?
"This is easier... A left-footed defender is the top priority, followed by a striker as the second necessity. Definitely need a central defender in the back, while upfront Milan has many players – Giroud, Jovic, Okafor when he returns, plus Leao, Pulisic... – but they'll try to sign a striker for the future. It could be Guirassy if he agrees, or another player not currently considered, if an opportunity arises in mid-January."
He continued to talk about AC Milan's plans for the mercato:
"Otherwise, everything will be postponed until summer. There's little talk about the midfield because the club has moved less in that direction, but I'm almost certain we'll discuss it in January. It's hard to imagine managing a month with Bennacer in the Africa Cup of Nations, Pobega injured, and maybe Krunic heading elsewhere. Adli isn't at his peak of confidence, and the three starters can't play every game."
