AC Milan team of Stefano Pioli is speeding ahead with a downhill schedule: Salernitana, Sassuolo, and Empoli to close the first half of the season. Leao, however, has not scored in the Serie A competition for three months.
The Portuguese player is doing well physically now and it's time to break the deadlock. The team of Stefano Pioli are aiming to get the full points in their coming three Serie A challenges: obtaining 9 points mean reaching 41 points in the Serie A standing, possibly reducing the gap with Inter and Juventus and extending the lead over Bologna who are fourth in the rankings.
Rafael Leao will therefore have to step up his efforts and help his teammates finish the half of the season with important results. Stefano Pioli expects a goal really soon and even commented on the matter by saying the following words in yesterday's press conference (read full presser here)
"It's important for us and for him. He was coming off a period of being sidelined; I've seen him doing well these days. I hope he'll be at his best tomorrow."
