As reported recently, AC Milan club management are looking to reinforce the team with Matija Popovic, the Serbian versatile talent who will turn 18 in January. The Rossoneri are close, but Manchester City, as per sources, is also in the race and is trying to hijack the deal in its final steps.
Now, however, and according to what is told by Marco Conterio, the AC Milan directors have reacted to Manchester City's approach and have stepped up their efforts to place themselves in the front row in the race.
Currently, Geoffrey Moncada and his colleagues are one step away from finalising the deal. Matija Popovic should become a Rossonero in the January transfer market window.
