AC Milan club management are set to enter the January transfer market window with the intention to add a few fresh faces to strengthen Stefano Pioli's team in view of the rest of the season.
To remain competitive and try to reduce the void created in the squad due to the injury crisis, Fabrizio Romano claims that the Rossoneri's mission in the winter transfer window should be recalling Matteo Gabbia from his current loan spell at Villarreal.
The return of the Italian centre-back will not be the only aim for AC Milan, however. The Italian journalist also explained that the club will try to add one more central defender to the team as Fikayo Tomori's injury against Salernitana has complicated matters even more for Stefano Pioli and his staff.
