Tijjani Reijnders, when he was acquired this summer by Milan, immediately made it clear that his value exceeds the economic effort the Rossoneri club made to have him.
The Dutchman quickly became an irreplaceable part of Pioli's midfield, delivering consistent performances.
In a difficult moment for Milan, Reijnders seems to be one of the few certainties for a team plagued by injuries and fluctuating results to hold on to, as described by Milan News.
Reijnders' numbers speak for him and prove his importance. In fact, the former AZ Alkmaar player has been deployed from the start in all 17 league matches, registering two goals (against Lecce and Monza) and two assists (against Bologna and Cagliari) along the way.
In the Champions League competition, however, Pioli put Reijnders in the starting lineup five times out of 6 matches. But, he did not manage to score or provide any assist in the top European competition.
