Samuel Chukwueze has not officially really taken off at AC Milan. There were flashes of brilliance, sure, but the fans and club expects more from him on a regular basis.
Born on May 22, 1999, in Ugba-Ibeku, Nigeria, Chukwueze grew up in the Diamond Football Academy before moving to Villarreal in 2017. Football runs in his family as his grandfather was a local footballer with a decent career in his home country.
Among his influences are Arjen Robben and fellow Nigerian Jay-Jay Okocha. Drawing a comparison to the former Dutch winger is significant, though it's not the right time to make uncomfortable comparisons.
The AC Milan Nigerian winger, however has the potential and should deliver more: the talent is undoubtedly there. Maybe 2024 will be the year for Chukwueze to truly break through and disrupt opposing defences, writes Milan News.
