According to the latest news reported by the Italian journalist Antonio Vitiello for Milan News' website, the Rossoneri managers are on the verge of signing 17-year-old Serbian talent Matija Popovic who can play as an attacking midfielder but also as a forward.
On December 31, the attacking midfielder's contract with Partizan Belgrade expires, allowing him to finalise an agreement with the Rossoneri club in the first ten days of January.
AC Milan, not only Popovic...
There's also much appreciation and attention regarding the centre-forward of Budnesliga side Stuttgart: Serhou Guirassy who is 27 years old. In fact, the Guinea international continues to be at the top of the Rossoneri watchlist as he has a release clause set at 17 million euros in view of the January transfer market window.
Luka Jovic, however, thanks to his recent positive performances has put the management in a waiting position regarding the striker.
The defence, though, is certainly the priority in January, but if the right opportunity arises in the offensive department, the club might also intervene there. No further midfield additions are expected despite Ismael Bennacer's departure (still unofficial) for the Africa Cup of Nations.
