Simone Tiribocchi, a former footballer who played as a striker for the likes of Lecce, Torino, Chievo Verona, and Atalanta, took stock of Rafael Leao and Luka Jovic's growth. Here are his words in an interview granted to Tuttosport:
"What does Leao lack to become a top player? One would need to see him work every day to answer that. Surely, in the game, he has taken steps back. He's treated like a star, but he's not behaving as one: lacking determination, willingness to take responsibility, self-denial. I believe he's also becoming difficult to manage because every time he's substituted, he becomes sullen..."
As for Luka Jovic...
"He, unlike De Ketelaere, is extremely strong mentally, as shown by his trajectory in Fiorentina and what he's doing at Milan after facing jeers and insults. He also has the skills of a great player and is devastating in the final twenty meters, but he needs a second striker close to him, otherwise alone, he does little. However, mentally, he's a beast."
