Even Forbes, the American media outlet which focuses on the business side of matters, have spoken about AC Milan and their failure to beat Atalanta and progress to the next round of the Coppa Italia.
The Rossoneri are behind in the race for the Scudetto, they are out of the Champions League and now have also exited the Coppa Italia in the quarter-finals, and it's only early January.
Forbes have relayed the rumours, also, which talk about Stefano Pioli's possible exit from the club at the end of the season due to the poor results this season. According to the report, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, in his role as advisor to the higher management of the AC Milan club, indeed is pushing for the arrival of Antonio Conte. The Italian coach, wanted also by Napoli, would no doubt demand a significant transfer budget.
This is something that "may not sit well with the RedBird ownership, who like to keep a lid on finances. Moreover, the owners appreciate Pioli exactly because he doesn’t kick up a fuss as pertains to transfers", as published by Forbes.
