This morning, Tuttosport specifies that unless there are big surprises at the end of the season, Stefano Pioli's history with the Rossoneri club will come to an end.
The Parma-born coach was the architect of the Rossoneri's rebirth after years in difficulty, and this should not be forgotten. He deserves credit for breathing life into many Rossoneri projects, one of them being the left flank featuring Theo-Leao. The 2022 Scudetto was the result of courageous choices and experiments that had made Milan one of the most entertaining teams to watch. After such victory, however, maintaining expectations became the most challenging part.

Since last season, but especially in this one, Milan has been an inconsistent team and marked by many ups and downs that have undermined its identity. Stefano Pioli is currently the Rossoneri coach and will do everything, as always, to achieve the remaining goals, but according to the rumour, it is difficult for him to stay another year, despite his contract running until 2025.
Thiago Motta and Antonio Conte for Milan?
For this reason, names of possible replacements are already circulating. Currently in the front line are two coaches with very different philosophies and resumes.
The profile indicated as the first choice for Milan is Bologna's coach, Thiago Motta. A true revelation in the last two seasons, he is leading the Rossoblu team to uncharted territories in the top half of the league table. The Bolognese play well and are full of young talents. Motta's contract is expiring, and renewal does not seem to be on the horizon.

On the other hand, there is Antonio Conte, certainly more experienced and successful, with a mentality that would undoubtedly change Milan's approach entirely. However, Conte is a demanding coach: he wants players who are ready from the first day, not ones to train and shape. Furthermore, the former Juventus and Inter coach always costs a lot in terms of salary.
In any case, these discussions are premature at this point; we are only halfway through the season, and more will be known in a few months.
