"Gerry Cardinale shakes things up. Confidence in Pioli", is how Tuttosport headlines this morning regarding the RedBird founder's presence at San Siro last night.
In fact, the club owner returned to closely follow a Milan match after a month and a half (his last time at San Siro was on November 28 in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund). The visit of RedBird's top executive gave the right boost to the entire environment after the disappointing elimination from the Coppa Italia.
Before the match, Cardinale, accompanied by his advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic, was in the Rossoneri locker room to talk to Pioli, the team, and the entire coaching staff. It was a motivational speech in which the Rossoneri owner expressed his full support for the group and reiterated once again his utmost confidence in head coach Stefano Pioli.
