AC Milan ownership is clear and very keen about the stadium project. A new facility must be built to become the new home of the Rossoneri. The idea of renovating the San Siro, suggested by mayor Giuseppe Sala, is not something of interest for the club. Instead, there are steps towards the new stadium.
The latest news reports come from Il Cittadino which talk about Milan signing an initial formal agreement with the company Sportlifecity.
This is a private agreement for the transfer of urban planning permits in the dedicated area, from Cassinari&Partners to Milan. The Sportlifecity operation involves a sports complex worth around 150 million euros on the 300,000 square meters of land in San Francesco.
The road ahead, however, is still long and challenging, starting from the design presented by Milan, which will require an amendment to be approved by the administration of Mayor Francesco Squeri of San Donato.
