Gerry Cardinale's goal is clear: he wants the AC Milan club to have their own new stadium soon. In these two years, many steps forward have been taken, including one made yesterday.
As reported by Sky Sport, Milan has indeed convened a Board of Directors meeting to approve the acquisition of some land in San Donato. Now, all that awaits is the approval from the Municipality of Milan, which will meet in the coming days, for the proposed urban planning variation of the project by the Rossoneri club, presented by the company SportLifeCity Srl (of which Milan owns 90% of the share capital).
Once the green light is given, the process can move forward, with the goal of starting construction within 18 to 24 months at most. The project involves an expenditure of one billion euros.
