Yunus Musah, AC Milan's twenty one year-old midfielder, has spoken about Mike Maignan, and what happened to him in Udine.
At the 'Tutti i colori dello sport' event, the American player connected with students from three secondary schools in New York (USA), London (England), and Nairobi (Kenya). He addressed the unfortunate events which happened against the French goalkeeper of the Rossoneri team.
Here are his words, as relayed via Pianeta Milan:
"Fans always shout something, but when it's too much, it's too much. It happened at Valencia and also this last Saturday. However, we showed that something can be done on the field,"
Musah, who in the past has been a victim, like Maignan, of such unpleasant situations, explained further:
"Mike didn't want to continue, but we stood by him and didn't leave him alone. These actions must now have consequences. Something needs to be done, and our reaction on the field was right; it gave us the confidence that we are a united group."
Yunus Musah concluded by saying the following words:
"Patience and respect are the keys to a good relationship with teammates. I've always enjoyed playing and studying simultaneously."
