La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper in today's print edition, highlighted the news that Malick Thiaw will be the first among the three central defenders of Milan who are returning from injuries, to be available again for the Rossoneri head coach Stefano Pioli.
Just yesterday afternoon, during the press conference ahead of tonight's Milan-Napoli match, Pioli, speaking about the 22-year-old German centre-back, said: "Thiaw has joined the group. If everything goes well, he will be called up on Thursday for the match against Rennes."
Clearly, it's unlikely that Thiaw will be able to start in the Europa League in a few days. But, at the very least, he should be on the bench two and a half months after the injury suffered in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund.
