In the last two months, Mike Maignan has seen a slight decline in his usual excellent performance, alternating between some great saves and errors.
According to what Carlos Passerini of Corriere della Sera reported in today's edition: "Some say that after the shameful racist insults incident in Udine, he may have lost some serenity, but the looming contract expiry in two years, with several top clubs across Europe eyeing him, could also weigh on him. Some also point the finger at the new coach, the Welshman Tony Roberts."
AC Milab head coach, Stefano Pioli, however reiterated yesterday his enormous confidence in his goalkeeper, stating in a press conference that "Mike's miracles are not over."
