Tonight at the San Siro stadium, AC Milan will face Slavia Prague in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16, aiming to replicate the 3-0 victory from the first leg against Rennes and to try secure qualification for the quarter-finals.
Stefano Pioli's team wants to use the return leg to prepare well for the next two league matches against Empoli and Verona, and to try to overtake Juventus in the standings before the break for the National teams.
The Europa League has become a primary objective for Milan after being eliminated from the Champions League and the Coppa Italia, and winning the trophy would represent a significant success for the season and for Pioli as well. With a second-place finish and winning the trophy, the chances of Pioli staying would increase.
Pioli will field the best possible eleven, with Alessandro Florenzi playing on the right flank and Tijjani Reijnders returning to midfield, while in attack there will be Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Rafael Leao, and Olivier Giroud.
