AC Milan's young starlet who turned 16 last March 10, Francesco Camarda, has not signed a professional contract with the Rossoneri club just yet.
The Rossoneri club directors value their youngster very highly and want to keep him for many more years. For now, however, the Primavera centre-forward can only sign a contract with a maximum duration of 3 years. If he were to put pen on paper right now, his deal would expire in June 2026. However, if the contract signing were delayed after the end of the current season, his new deal would then run until June 2027 instead.
AC Milan naturally want to keep him at the club for as long as possible. But, there is a risk in attempting the second scenario because different clubs are interested.
According to what is reported by the Daily Mail, in fact, Premier League clubs Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and Arsenal are all interested in landing the player.
One important note, though, is that the 16-year-old AC Milan striker cannot play in the Premier League yet due to Brexit regulations. One workaround for these English clubs, therefore, would be to sign him and loan him immediately to another European club.
Francesco Camarda, who was promoted to the Primavera team at the start of this season, has shown quality despite his young age. In fact, the Italian talent has managed to register 12 goals and 3 assists to his name in 30 appearances overall. He also made history by playing with the first team under the guidance of head coach Stefano Pioli, thus becoming the youngester Serie A debutant ever.
