Rafael Leao, AC Milan's left-winger, has made some statements to the monthly magazine Undici, focusing in particular on wanting to be an example in football and on his talent. Here, then, are all his words.
On being an example:
“I want to be an example of someone who has shown all their personality on and off the field. I am a person who doesn't want to do just one thing. I like making music, I like taking photos, and I do it because it's something I enjoy.”
On his talent:
“I realised I was stronger than others when I was little: we played among children, but I did things differently from others. Then at 18, when I joined the first team, there in my mind I thought: maybe I can reach a high level in football.”
On the importance of music in his life, Leao said:
“One day my father came home with a cell phone: we could download music and listen to it with my friends. It changed my life in ways I couldn't even imagine at that time. Today, writing is fundamental for me: I do it every day, it helps me express the feelings I have inside.”
