Nicolò Zaniolo, Aston Villa's player who is on loan with a buyout option from Galatasaray, has given a lengthy interview to the microphones of Il Corriere dello Sport, in which he expressed his desire to return to playing in Italy:
"Do I miss Italy? Well, of course, very much. Friends, family, my son. But now it's up to the clubs to define my future... Meanwhile, let me say that I am grateful to Monchi for still betting on me after signing me for Roma when I was 19."
Regarding his possible return to Serie A and the rumors about Milan, Zaniolo explained:
"Rumors about Milan? Who knows. I asked my agent, Claudio Vigorelli, to inform me only if and when there is something concrete. Now I have to focus on Aston Villa. Lazio? I don't know anything. But I want to be honest: for what Roma represented to me and also out of respect for Lazio fans, it would be an unworkable situation."
