According to what Gazzetta dello Sport reported in this morning's print edition, the AC Milan club management are actually interested in entering the race for Khéphren Thuram, son of former Parma and Juventus defender Lilian and brother of current Inter forward Marcus.
The class of 2001 is currently with Nice and could be a substantial reinforcement for the Rossoneri midfield.
He is a midfielder who grew up in the youth sector of Monaco. Since 2019, he has been a key figure in the midfield of Nice, now coached by Francesco Farioli, and this experience has also earned him a place in the national team. Milan in the market will first look for a striker, and efforts will be focused on that. Clearly, they will then try to bolster the squad with some reinforcements in other areas of the field, and Khéphren Thuram could be an interesting solution.
He would add physicality and substance to a Rossoneri midfield that is already very diverse and where everyone can be protagonists and interchangeable, albeit with different characteristics.
The sour notes begin to sound when it comes to evaluations. At the moment, the French midfielder is valued at 40 million euros, a significant figure: French clubs are used to aiming high. In favour of the Rossoneri, however, there may be the contract expiring in 2025 which could open up interesting scenarios and provide room for maneuver for Geoffrey Moncada and his colleagues, and not only... And here comes the second "problem": considering the player's technical value and contractual situation, it's easy to think that several international clubs, especially those from the Premier League with very capable financial resources, will be eager for Thuram Jr.
In this sense, the Rossoneri's ally could even be his brother Marcus, a player for Inter. The two brothers, as reported by the source, are very close to each other and wouldn't mind reuniting in Italy, in Milan, even in rival teams. In fact, in a family of sporting personalities like the Thurams, internal competition could even be a motivation.
