Among the many topics currently being discussed at AC Milan, there's also the one concerning the future of Mike Maignan, the Rossoneri goalkeeper who, in the last league match away against Fiorentina, once again proved decisive with his saves.
This morning, Corriere dello Sport discusses the potential contract renewal of the Frenchman:
"Maignan, maneuvers for renewal."
Maignan's contract expires in 2026, theoretically, the club has plenty of time to come to terms with the former Lille player, yet the managers know that in such cases, it's always better to act well in advance.
There is a lot of focus on player's demands, which CorSport tries to highlight this morning:
"The Frenchman aims to double his salary of 2.8 million euros."
It might not even be enough to convince him, double what he currently earns. The Frenchman's request is for a salary befitting the top earners of the squad, at the level of the compensation guaranteed to Rafael Leao a year ago for his contract renewal.
For its part, Milan management aims to to keep the goalkeeper, and in this regard, the club is aware that a significant financial effort will be necessary.
