Before the fixture against AS Roma at the San Siro for the Europa League quarter-finals first leg fixture, AC Milan's head coach Stefano Pioli said these words to Sky Sport Italia:
"'Facing pressure with a smile?' It has always been our way of working and preparing. We prepare with maximum concentration but also with serenity."
Does experience help?
"All experiences, especially in Europe, help. A few years ago, we were mostly debutants. Now we have incorporated solid, positive, or negative experiences. We must try to be the best version of ourselves, and the opponents are of great quality."
Can you feel the European atmosphere?
"Yes, one can feel it. Our fans are also making us feel it. We will try to play with great energy and quality. It's only the first 90 minutes, but it's a match that can give us great indications."
On the fact that away goals no longer count, Pioli replied:
"Football is made of situations and moments. When we have the ball, we must try to put them in difficulty, and we have the individual qualities to do so. Then it will take a game of attention and clarity, especially to overcome the difficult moments that will surely come."
