On the eve of the Europa League round of 16 second leg at the Olimpico against Roma, AC Milan's number 10, Rafael Leao, spoke to Milan TV to preview the match. Here are his statements:
"It's one of the most important matches of this season. My teammates and I are aware of this game: I would like to play already, today. I have confidence, always with respect for Roma who have great players: but we go there with all our strength to win the game."
On what can make the difference:
"In these matches, the details make the difference: they were better in the first leg and what we didn't do well, we'll do better, more aware and focused. We could have even drawn the first leg: for this second leg, we go to Rome to win."
On redemption after the first match, Leao said:
"I hope to help my team: if I don't score, I hope to play well and win. That's the most important thing, moving forward. After the first leg where I didn't do so well, I was disappointed and against Sassuolo, I wanted to give the right answer. That's how I am, if I make a mistake, I always try to come back even stronger, learn from my mistakes: I did well but unfortunately, we didn't win. I've regained confidence, the joy of doing well and helping my teammates."
On the comeback:
"We know it's possible. The result is 1-0, we can turn it around. We have to start strong, try to score in the first few minutes, and then play the game like a final."
