The AC Milan head coach, Stefano Pioli, had these words to say to the media ahead of the match against AS Roma, valid for the second leg fixtue of the Europa League quarter-finals.
Here's what he said:
"It will take a high-level match, a superior attention to detail compared to last Thursday. We believe in it, and I have confidence in the team, which has the means to win tomorrow night."
He added:
"The players know what we have to do in the match... De Rossi talked about an ultimate chance for us: Yes, because the opportunity to advance to the next round is tomorrow. However, we will play in the Champions League next year, and we are ready for tomorrow."
Pioli continued:
"We are the same ones who reached the Champions League semi-finals last year. Everyone expected us to go further in the Champions League, despite knowing the difficulties of the group stage. But now we think about reaching the Europa League semi-finals."
On tomorrow's fixture:
"To win, we have to defend well. There will be moments when we suffer, but we have to defend well, and if we do, we have more chances to win."
