As written by Corriere della Sera this morning, which has provided a general overview of the future benches of Milan and Napoli, the Rossoneri club have resumed contacts with Thiago Motta, who in the meantime has already promised himself to Juventus.

At Casa Milan, they had already sounded out the ground for the Bologna coach at the end of December, but then the talks had died down. This allowed Juve to find a verbal agreement even though nothing, not even a pre-contract, has been signed: thus there would still be room for Milan.
After all the commotion about Lopetegui, loudly rejected by the Rossoneri fans with hashtags and petitions signed by more than ten thousand people, the Rossoneri are trying to bring themselves back to profiles that could be appreciated by the fans.
One of these is certainly Motta: however, Juventus still has the advantage, and Milan will have to try to overtake. Another name that could go in this direction is Roberto De Zerbi, but he has a clause of 15 million with Brighton and an already significant salary.
The dream is called Antonio Conte. Or at least, this would be the dream of the Rossoneri fans, many of whom, in general terms, have expressed themselves in favor of the arrival of the Italian coach: a winning coach with great experience who could also give a good shake-up in terms of mentality to the whole team. Yet his profile doesn't convince the club, which considers him a cumbersome personality that could eventually clash with the views of the Rossoneri club, in addition to the salary issue which is always a factor to keep in mind when talking about the Milan management.
In all of this, no offers have arrived and there have been no contacts between Milan and Conte who, on the contrary, although interested in the Milan job, is now beginning to look around and would be inclined to listen to Napoli's proposal, which he had refused after Rudi Garcia's dismissal.
