The discussion about AC Milan's new coach is heating up conversations in this final stretch of the Rossoneri's season, which has been lacking significant sporting achievements. Talking about the matter as well is Arrigo Sacchi, as usual, to La Gazzetta dello Sport:
"Why not keep Pioli? I believe that his experience at AC Milan has been overall positive. He won a league title, and the club had spent less than their rivals. On that occasion, he surprised everyone and entertained the audience. This season, if all goes well, he'll secure second place in the league: it means only Inter has performed better. And then, were the players he acquired all Pioli's choices, or were they selected by the executives? Because if they were chosen by the executives, the responsibilities should be shared."
Sacchi continued to talk about Pioli's job:
"I believe Pioli deserves respect for what he has given to AC Milan and how he has conducted himself. It seems to me that confirming him wouldn't be settling. He's a coach who has managed to improve over time. It's true he made mistakes, but to err is human. I would consider the possibility of confirming Pioli."
