The defensive department will see the exit of a pillar of the squad in the locker room: Simon Kjaer. The Danish central defender, in fact, has a contract which runs until the end of the season.
The departure of the former Sevilla player means that Milan must replace him. A quality addition is needed also because the defensive area has been 'leaking' this season. The quest for such a profile is ongoing for the first team. However, there is also a name of a young central defender that is being sought, but for the Milan U-23 project as well.
According to what is reported by the Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, through his account on 'X' Milan are interested in the young centre-back of Lazio, Matteo Dutu who is 18 years old.
The player's contract runs until the end of the current season. But, the Biancocelesti club management is reportedly looking to extend his deal in order to not lose him on a free.
Dutu, a Romanian defender (with an Italian citizenship as well) stands at 192 centimetres tall. With the Lazio Primavera side, he made 35 appearances across the Primavera league, Coppa Primavera and the UEFA Youth League. He has 1 goal registered to his name with 3137 minutes played overall. Only time will tell if AC Milan management will be able to secure his arrival on a free transfer.
