The search for the new Milan coach continues. After the split with Julen Lopetegui, who now seems inclined to accept the courtship of West Ham in the Premier League, the name that is emerging is Sergio Conceiçao, but he is not the only candidate on Milan's long list of potential coaches.
There are also other names like Paulo Fonseca, Roberto Martinez, Mark van Bommel, or Roberto De Zerbi. At Casa Milan, they evaluate the pros and cons from every aspect. The Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, former coach, Fabio Capello, is interviewed and offers his insight on each of these coaches.
Capello's words on Conceiçao and the halt to Lopetegui:
"Conceiçao? If Milan goes convinced on him, they might be on the right track. Conceiçao has what it takes. The important thing is that everyone in the club agrees. The Lopetegui case teaches us: the fact that a club like Milan yielded to the will of the fans suggests that perhaps there wasn't total unanimity on the choice. Otherwise, it would be a serious reconsideration: if past decisions were made based on the mood of the fans, Milan would not have had either Sacchi or Capello…"
