Napoli is searching for a new striker in the market ahead of the next season, as the Nigerian Victor Osimhen will most likely be sold, as relayed via Calciomercato.com.
According to the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, in addition to the names of the Ukrainian Artem Dovbyk (Granada) and the Italo-Argentinian Mateo Retegui (Genoa), the Togolese (with a French passport) Kevin Denkey is also being considered.
Denkey, though, is also liked by the AC Milan club management to reinforce the striker's position in the summer as Olivier Giroud is set to leave on a free.
The 23-year-old player has a valid contract until June 2026. He stands at 181 centimetres and is right-footed. He joined his current club, Cercle Brugge, in January 2021 for just 2 million euros coming from French side Nimes. Now, he is reportedly worth ten times as much. This season, though, he has scored 28 goals (and 2 assists) in 37 appearances between the league and Belgian cup.
