Yunus Musah has released an interview with SportMediaset, in which he first spoke about his first season wearing the Rossoneri shirt:
"It was my first year at Milan, I wanted to come here because it's a very big club. I was able to play in the Champions League as well. I felt important for the team. I learned a lot, now I want to continue to grow."
On his player role model:
"I like many players who have played for Milan. Right now, I am focused on growing and continuing to learn. Next year, I want to play more and help the team more both in attack and defense."
On the gap with Inter, Musah said:
"We need to improve in all areas if we want to become the best team in Italy. We have to work on everything. We must have the ambition to always improve. This year we came second, next year we will have to do everything better to try to come first."
On his first goal in the Rossoneri shirt:
"I dream a lot about scoring my first goal wearing the Milan jersey. I am very determined. Who will I dedicate it to? I will only say after I score."
On his career:
"I have been fortunate to have traveled a lot in these years, I have had many experiences and met many people. I hope to know more places, but for now, I am happy here."
On Rafael Leao:
"Rafa is a good player, I have a lot of fun with him even in the locker room. He's important for us, everyone knows it, he makes a difference when he plays. He's really a very good player."
On his preferred role on the field, Leao said:
"My role is the number 8, I like to play in the middle of the field and be a box-to-box midfielder. But if the coach asks me to do other roles, I am available to do it in the best possible way."
On Olivier Giroud's departure:
"I was lucky to play with him. I watched him back in his Arsenal days, he was a source of inspiration for me. Now I have had the chance to play with him, he's also a very good person, we will miss him a lot."
On American soccer, Musah commented:
"Soccer is growing a lot in the USA, many American players come to Europe to play. Even the MLS is growing, soon it could become a major league."
On the April slump for Milan:
"It's difficult to explain. We played against strong teams that were very determined, we tried, we gave everything, but we didn't make it. Surely we should have played better, but there was no lack of motivation and determination. We had to play better."
