Gian Piero Gasperini, speaking on Radio Rai, revisits his previous statements against Inter Milan but retracts, as relayed via Milan News:
"A billion in debt to win the Scudetto? It's not just Inter, it's a bit all over Europe: even in other countries, the winning teams have opportunities that Atalanta doesn't have. Maybe not Bayern, which has always been careful. The unsustainability of football in Europe has created a lot of problems and has led to the creation of the Super League or the new Champions League, always with the same goal of making more money. Which is never enough. The example of Atalanta is unique, it's a fact that hundreds of millions of difference in the transfer market excludes many teams. Our case happens once in a while, like Leicester winning the Premier League. The goal is to make the team stronger and more complete, but that doesn't mean we have to win the Europa League again. Maybe this year we weren't the strongest, but we were very good at playing well in many decisive matches. The goal is to have more solutions and a better team."
