Paulo Fonseca is ready to become the new coach of AC Milan. Lille, the club he has led for two seasons, officially announced his departure today and hired Bruno Genesio instead of him.
As per Calciomercato.com, Fonseca is expected in Milan between Tuesday and Wednesday next week to sign the contract (a three-year deal worth 3 million euros net plus bonuses per season) and that's when the official announcement should be published as well.
His staff will include Paulo Ferreira, a former Chelsea defender considered a key man, Tiago Leal, who has been with him since his Roma days, Paulo Mourao, his physical trainer since 2022 (formerly of Spartak), and Antonio Ferreira, the goalkeeping coach who has worked with Fonseca since his time at Shakhtar Donetsk
