Emerson Royal is a hot prospect for Milan's right flank. The Brazilian, who turned 25 in January, also enjoys EU status thanks to his Spanish passport. Despite being tied to Tottenham until 2026, the London club seems really open to the idea of selling his card and accomodating him elsewhere. But is he really a good fit for Milan? Tom Barclay, a journalist from 'The Sun', provided an assessment of his three years with Spurs in an exclusive interview with Milan News:
Tom Barclay, how do you evaluate Emerson Royal's three seasons at Tottenham?
"Not a resounding success. There have been some good matches; I remember one against Manchester City which Spurs won and where he put in a great performance. On the other hand, there have been many underwhelming games. I recall a nightmare derby against Arsenal, lost 1-3, where he was sent off. He does not seem like a profile suited to Postecoglou's style of play."
What are his strengths?
"His major strengths are his physicality, fitness, versatility, and reliability. Postecoglou appreciates his work ethic; he puts in a lot of effort and is among the best during training tests."
