Milan is preparing for an important transfer campaign this summer: they need to replace key players like Olivier Giroud and Simon Kjaer, but most importantly, they need to provide the new coach, who barring any major surprises will be Paulo Fonseca, with a competitive squad for the various fronts on which the team will be competing.
With this in mind, the Rossoneri club management has also added a new right-back to their list of targets. Like with the attack, several names have emerged for this position, and the latest one is reported today by Corriere dello Sport.
It is the English right-back, naturalized as Polish, Matty Cash. Il Corriere dello Sport writes about the Aston Villa player:
"Milan, inquiry for Cash"
The article also reads the following statement:
"The Englishman naturalized as Polish is an idea for the right flank, but the costs are high: 30 million euros."
The Rossoneri have made inquiries through intermediaries, and the feasibility of the operation does not seem straightforward: firstly, because the Villains will be in the Champions League and will try to keep their best players, and secondly, because the player is valued at 30 million euros and has a contract until 2027.
The Emerson Royal option also remains active: Milan met with his agent in recent days, and the Brazilian costs around 25 million euros.
