The COVISOC has excluded Ancona from professional leagues, thereby opening the doors for Milan's Under 23 team. The organizational machinery has already been set in motion, with the club making a significant investment. There is even a stadium, which, barring any surprises, should be the "Felice Chinetti" in Solbiate Arno. Speaking to MilanNews.it, the club's general director, Carmine Gorrasi, gives us an update on the situation:
Will it be a long-term collaboration?
"We are discussing this, but we believe we can consider it a long-term arrangement. From our side, there is a structural advantage because we would end up with a facility approved for the Lega Pro, and Milan would be playing close to Milanello, which is a logistical advantage."
What work will be done at the "Chinetti"?
"There will be structural work, including redoing the lighting system and installing 2,000 seats. The goal, although it is not simple, is to start the championship with the facility ready."
What would it mean for Solbiate Arno to be chosen as Milan's home?
"It would be a source of pride. I thank President Silvia Gatti and patron Claudio Milanese, both huge Milan fans, as well as the intervention of Mayor Oreste Battiston, also a great Milan supporter. For us, it would be very nice, the idea of seeing Milan's champions or the future stars of Italian football grow with us. Starting with Camarda and Zeroli."
