Through the website Sportitalia.it, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà, expressed his views on Milan's transfer market and the Zirkzee negotiation:
"A new chapter in the Zirkzee-Milan saga, with the issue of commissions being the crux of a tangled plot. The soap opera regarding the Dutch player will, however, eventually come to an end. There has been direct contact between the Rossoneri club and Kia Joorabchian, the Iranian agent handling the deal. Milan has announced its intention to raise the offer regarding commissions: what we can say is that Kia, contrary to some reports, has already come down significantly from the 15 million he had asked for. The difference a few days ago was 3-4 million euros, and Milan has communicated its intention to increase the offer to finalise the deal."
Pedullà continued to talk about Joshua Zirkzee's deal
"Meanwhile, the Dutch striker, called up by the Netherlands in place of Brobbey, wants to know his future very soon. He has chosen Milan and has a multi-year agreement on salary (between 4.5 million and 5 million euros net per season). Now Milan needs to act quickly for Zirkzee, moving closer to a resolution, and resolving the issue of commissions. Words like 'trust' and 'optimism' are not necessary; what matters are the facts. And in the evening, Milan showed they are willing to take action, once again coming out into the open. Juve's position remains as it was yesterday: gathering information, knowing that Milan moved first. Juve, as we will explain, has other priorities: Zirkzee is a favorite of Thiago Motta, but now they need to finalise necessary operations in other areas. Waiting for Soulé to be sold and clarification on Chiesa's future. That's why Milan, with this move, could really enter, definitively, into the heart of the matter and close the deal quickly."
