The negotiation keeping all AC Milan fans on the edge of their seats is undoubtedly the one involving Joshua Zirkzee. The Rossoneri are in search of a quality striker, and the Bologna forward perfectly fits the profile outlined by the Rossoneri's directors. However, there's still the issue of resolving the high commissions demanded by the Dutch player's agent.
According to Fabrizio Romano, as explained during the KickOff podcast, the reason behind these aforementioned demands is as follows:
"What Zirkzee's agents believe is that today the player is worth well over 40 million. Their point of view is that anyone who wants to sign him today must spend more than 40 and very close to 50, in terms of commissions and ancillary costs."
Furthermore, Fabrizio Romano added:
"I still see Milan as the favourite; they need to finalise the agreement with the agent and do so quickly. A year ago, Milan didn't sign Thuram due to the commissions, which were then paid by Inter."
