According to Calcio&Finanza, AC Milan's financial year 2023/24, which closed on June 30, 2024, is expected to record a profit ranging between 10 and 20 million euros. This would be the second consecutive positive result after last year, when the 2022/23 balance sheet closed with a profit of 6.1 million euros.
The club's revenue for the last season is expected to be between 435 and 440 million euros, about 30 million euros more than the previous season, thanks to income from player rights management (about 50 million euros coming from the capital gain of Sandro Tonali's sale, who moved to Newcastle in the previous summer) and commercial revenues from the renewals with Puma and Fly Emirates, each contributing about 30 million euros per year, finally in full swing. Revenue from TV rights decreased (138 million euros, 83 from Serie A and 54 from UEFA competitions) compared to 175 million euros last season, as did gate receipts, 63 million compared to about 73 million euros recorded in the 2022/23 season.
Costs are estimated to rise compared to last year due to higher amortisations from the robust transfer campaign. Personnel costs remain stable, around 167 million euros: the total expenses are thus expected to be between 410 and 415 million euros.
According to sources at Calcio é Finanza, the final profit figure, expected between 10 and 20 million euros, will also depend on the management of the end of the relationship with Stefano Pioli and his staff, as well as any provisions related to his last year of the contract.
Milan, through Cardinale and his executives, has repeatedly emphasized that all profits will be reinvested in the project to strengthen the squad: the idea is to have constant and sustainable growth in the medium-long term, capitalizing the club and making significant investments in the player roster, as pointed out by Milan News.
