Alongside the search for a forward and a midfielder, AC Milan continues its pursuit of a full-back. Over the past few weeks, it seems that many names have been linked to the Rossoneri squad, such as Tiago Santos from Lille and Matty Cash from Aston Villa, but Paulo Fonseca's favourite seems to be the 25-year-old Brazilian right-back Emerson Royal who currently plies his trade for Premier League outfit Tottenham.
The former FC Barcelona talent, Royal, coming off a disappointing season, is valued by Spurs at a fee set at 20 million euros, a figure that the officials at Casa Milan have deemed excessive for a player who has consistently lacked continuity throughout his career.
For this reason, according to a recent report by Gianluca Di Marzio, a new meeting between Tottenham and Milan is scheduled for Wednesday, July 3, and Thursday, July 4, where Milan hopes to understand how far they can push forward with their offer, which might not exceed the 15 million euros mark.
In all this, the Rossoneri could leverage the player's desire, who recently expressed his enthusiasm for the interest from such an important team as AC Milan (read his statements here).
