Just under 48 hours after his arrival in Milan, Paulo Fonseca will be presented by Milan to the press and fans in a press conference scheduled at 11 AM CEST at Casa Milan. Alongside the Portuguese coach, writes Tuttosport this morning, will be CEO Furlani, technical director Moncada, president Scaroni, and, of course, Ibrahimovic, the face and voice of RedBird, owned by Gerry Cardinale. Before the conference, however, a meeting between Fonseca and the management will take place to review the ongoing transfer market operations, with Milan looking for a new center forward, a midfielder, a right-back, and a central defender.
Many fans, Fonseca first among them, expected some new faces starting today, the first day of training camp, but instead, the team has been at a standstill, partly due to the European Championship slowing down operations on some targets, notably Zirkzee, who is increasingly close to becoming a new Manchester United player. As a result, Milan has started to seriously explore the possibility of acquiring Alvaro Morata, but even in this case, the situation will only move forward after Spain's European Championship ends.
For this reason, if the negotiations proceed in the right direction, the first reinforcement for Fonseca's new Milan could and should be Emerson Royal, in a deal that should be finalized with Tottenham for around 20 million euros, including bonuses.
