AC Milan is in a hurry to unlock its market because it needs significant reinforcements if it wants to compete for the championship next year. At Casa Milan, it's clear in their minds that at least one reinforcement per position is needed, and they are working to provide Paulo Fonseca with a complete squad as soon as possible.
Today's edition of Corriere della Sera highlights Milan's market priorities, starting with the absolute priority: the striker. The Rossoneri have effectively closed a deal for Alvaro Morata, who is expected in Milan in the coming days for medical examinations and signing. However, the Spaniard might not be the only addition in attack, as Milan has also started moving for Tammy Abraham, the Roma forward. The Rossoneri club executives have already had initial contacts with the Giallorossi and tried to include Luka Jovic in the negotiation but received a negative response from the Roman club. Alternatives to the Englishman include the free agent Depay and Broja from Chelsea.
But the attack is not the only department needing reinforcements. Last season, Milan's formation conceded too many goals, so additions are needed to provide greater solidity: for the central defensive department, the Rossoneri are very interested in Strahinja Pavlovic, a Serbian player born in 2001 from Salzburg, while in midfield, a physical midfielder to place in front of the defence is missing, with Youssouf Fofana from Monaco being at the top of the list for some time.
