The Milan market took a while to take off, but now, after the signing of the new striker, Alvaro Morata, the Rossoneri plane is ready to soar and bring new reinforcements for Paulo Fonseca's squad.
Leading the way, of course, is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who wants to put his mark on this new Rossoneri cycle that began on July 1st. According to Tuttosport, Milan under Zlatan Ibrahimovic still plans to make at least one more signing per department.
Milan's original idea was to start with a right-back, with Emerson Royal in pole position. However, Tottenham's demands were immediately seen as excessive, so Fonseca will try to revitalise Pierre Kalulu as Calabria's backup.
Consequently, the management aims to close a deal for a new central defender immediately. In this regard, Strahinja Pavlovic, the Serbian center-back from Salzburg, is the most favored name. Milan has an agreement with the player, ready to sign a five-year contract worth 1.8 million. They need to convince the Austrian club, which has the player under contract until 2027 and doesn't intend to sell him cheaply.
The asking price is 25 million euros, while Milan's offer, including bonuses, reaches 20 million. Plan B could be Mario Hermoso, a former Atletico Madrid player now free agent, whom Milan approached after the Morata operation thanks to contacts with Beppe Bozzo. At 29 years old, the defender is asking for a three-year contract at 3.5 plus bonuses .
